Introduction to IHE in the Canadian Context (1 day Workshop)

Explore how IHE supports interoperability through the exchange of information between health care systems. Participants will also discuss the collaboration of clinical and technical experts representing healthcare users and HIT vendors through a defined process and results in industry-recognized, implementable, standards-based specifications called IHE Integration Profiles. Instructed by Michael H. Nusbaum, IHE Canada Constituency's Head of Delegation.

During the workshop participants will:

• Gain a solid understanding of the IHE process
  
• Learn to navigate and use IHE Integration Profiles in implementation projects.
  
• Have an opportunity to examine one of the Technical Framework publications in greater detail.
  
• Leverage the IHE Conformance Testing process, including the Connectathon processes and tools.
